Support our seminarians

Knowledge is power. We strengthen the church — and the world — by cultivating future priests. Your support helps offset rising costs of educating men to answer their calling without additional financial burden.

Grounded in Scripture and Tradition

The Priests of the Sacred Heart’s founder, Fr. Leo John Dehon, was committed to continuing Christ’s work of rebuilding our world into God’s kingdom of justice and love. With a strong passion for education and priesthood, Fr. Dehon and a dedicated band of men filled with vision and courage laid the foundation for the Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology.

Today, about a century later, we are the largest seminary in North America for second-career vocations, and continue to ground ourselves in the spiritual tradition of the Priests of the Sacred Heart and their founder.

United through Devotion

The Priests of the Sacred Heart exists to serve our neighbor through the Heart of Christ. Our institution fosters unity through shared worship, integrated goals, and attentive conversation.

By providing all four pillars of priestly formation to resident seminarians, we form servant leaders who herald God’s mercy, encounter the forgotten, and heal wounds of division.

Welcoming All

Because we have a devotion to the Sacred Heart, we are trained to take on the heart of Jesus. We welcome all as Christ with the Way of charity, the Truth of integrity, and the Life of friendship.

Our programs range from Certificate in Priestly Ministry to Master of Divinity, English & Culture Studies, Hispanic Ministry Preparation, and placements customized for the future ministerial needs of seminarians. Sacred Heart offers a rich, rewarding, and exemplary formation experience, while rigorously following the Program of Priestly Formation, 5th Edition.
