Remembering and giving thanks

On May 15, Fr. David Szatkowski, SCJ, joined the Mayor of Tunica, Tunica’s Police Chief, the County Sheriff, and chaplains from both departments as they honored the men and women of Mississippi law enforcement who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The commemoration of Peace Officer Memorial Day took place at the Rivergate Amphitheater in Tunica’s town square.
 
Fr. David offered the Peace Officer’s Prayer and Benediction at the close of the service. He is the Volunteer Chaplain for the Southaven Police Department and the area representative for the Mississippi International Conference of Chaplains.
