Special Wednesday Lenten Masses

Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,

Are you ready to take a journey with me?

I like to think of Lent as a journey. It’s a journey away from selfishness and sin. A journey toward rediscovery of God in our daily lives.

During this journey we are called to examine our conscience and actions and turn away from everything that gets in the way of our relationship with Him.

We answer this call with prayer, with sacrifice and with charity. We look to the Sacred Heart and within ourselves for the grace to follow the path to God more closely.

I invite you to share your special Lenten intentions with me. My fellow Priests of the Sacred Heart and I will remember you and your prayers at the altar during our special Masses every Wednesday during Lent. 

At this time, I also ask that you please think of your brothers and sisters whose Lenten journeys are marked by poverty and suffering ... remember them with loving charity and mercy.

Will you be a witness of fraternal charity by sharing your gifts this Lenten season? Your generous gift today will support our mission to carry on the love and mercy of the Sacred Heart by:

• offering shelter to the homeless
• providing medical care to the sick
• giving food to the hungry
• providing compassion to the elderly
• teaching the Gospel of Christ for those who do not know Him
