Day of Prayer with Religious -September 13, 2015
Pray With Us
How have you been influenced by the religious Priests, Brothers and Sisters in your life? Have you been spiritually uplifted by the compassionate words of a Priest, inspired by a dedicated Brother, or taught grace by the example of a caring Sister?
So much of who we are today can be traced to those who have played a part in our lives in the Church. In thanksgiving for their dedication to God and to His people, please pray with us on Sunday, September 13 – the date chosen as a Day of Prayer with Religious.
Pope Francis has set aside a whole year to honor the commitment of religious Sisters, Brothers, and Priests. The Year of Consecrated Life began last Advent and will conclude with the celebration of the World Day of Consecrated Life on February 2, 2016. The Bishops and Major Superiors in the U.S. have suggested Sunday, September 13 as a Day of Prayer with Religious.
We invite you to remember the religious men and women who have brought faith and meaning your life on this very special Sunday. Please join your prayers with ours. Simply click here to send your intentions for remembrance on September 13 and in the daily Masses and prayers of the Priests of the Sacred Heart.
We truly appreciate the support of your prayers for our religious community and for all religious Sisters, Brothers, and Priests who dedicate their lives to the service of God’s people. The invocations in the following Litany of the Heart of Jesus come from the spiritual writings of Fr. Leo John Dehon, SCJ, founder of the Priests of the Sacred Heart. May this prayer inspire all of us to reflect more clearly the loving Heart of God.
Sincerely in the Sacred Heart,
Fr. Dominic, SCJ
