Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,
The coronavirus pandemic has impacted people of all ages and from all walks of life. More than 2.6 million lives have been lost from COVID-19 worldwide. While there are still many restrictions on Mass participation, we still need to turn to God in prayer.
Prayer fuels our hearts and minds. It helps us to grow stronger in faith, more understanding of the suffering of strangers and closer in our relationship with God.
On April 16, the Priests of the Sacred Heart will be celebrating a special Mass to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus, including:
- The sick and suffering
- Those working in the medical profession
- Those who have died and their grieving family and friends
God always hears our prayers. Even when we can’t put them into words — when our hearts are too sad or confused to even speak — God hears us and makes anything possible.
I know you believe in the power of prayer and helping those who are less fortunate. That’s why I am including a special prayer for you to pray and share.
I am so grateful for you. It is because of your prayers and generosity that the Priests of the Sacred Heart are able to serve the urban and rural poor in the U.S. and in more than 40 countries around the world.
If you’ve been blessed, even during these uncertain times, will you please send your most prayerful offering today, enabling us to help answer the prayers of those without?
The only way our priests and brothers can put God’s love into action is with your prayers and continued generosity. Thank you for giving generously today.
May God reward you for your generosity and bless you abundantly with His gifts of faith, hope and peace.
Sincerely in the Sacred Heart,
Father Dominic, SCJ
