Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year. We remember the many blessings that God has given us and open our hearts in gratitude as we gather together and thank the Lord.
It is with this feeling of gratitude that I invite you to join your prayers with mine as the Priests of the Sacred Heart celebrate a special Thanksgiving Mass on Thursday, November 22.
How has God touched and enriched your life? Who are the people who mean the most to you?
Please send me your most heartfelt prayer intentions today. It will be my honor to remember you, your loved ones and your deepest wishes before the altar at our special Thanksgiving Mass.
And when I celebrate the Eucharist, it will be especially meaningful to me because you are in my heart. “Eucharist” literally means “to give thanks,” and I count you and your support among God’s blessings for which I am most grateful.
As we recount our blessings, I ask you to also think of your less fortunate brothers and sisters. The Priests of the Sacred Heart bring hope to the neediest of God’s children through our missions in the US and throughout the world.
Please join your prayers with mine during our special Thanksgiving Mass on November 22. I pray that you and your loved ones will always be present to the abundant blessings of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. May we accept and reflect His glorious gifts of faith, hope and love at Thanksgiving … and every day of the year.
Sincerely in the Sacred Heart,
Father Dominic, SCJ
