Living the Spirituality of the Heart of Jesus
Even before the apparitions of the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary, the Church reflected upon the love of God as revealed to us through the Heart of Jesus.
"When they came to Jesus... one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water."
John 19:34
In every age, the Church seeks ways of exploring the mystery of the Heart of Jesus in terms that will speak to a particular time and place, and culture.
How can we better know the 'unfathomable riches' of Christ's love for us? How can the gift of ourself in union with Christ help to transform our society and world?
What within us and around us needs to be repaired and reconciled in order for the Kingdom of God to come in its fullness?
The Spirituality of the Heart of Jesus calls us to union with Jesus by offering ourselves with Him for the transformation of the world. We live this gift-of-self by helping to repair a broken humanity.
Scriptural passages familiar to the Priests of the Sacred Heart are:
Sint Unum (That they may be one)
Ecce venio (Behold, I come to do your will)
Adveniat Regnum Tuum (Thy Kingdom Come)
In the upcoming year as Father Paul meets with friends of the Priests of the Sacred Heart, it is his hope to present some ideas as to how the Spirituality of the Sacred Heart can be lived in our present day.

Meeting our friends across the country
In the coming months, Fr. Paul will be traveling across the United States to meet more of our friends and spend the afternoon with them. Typically these luncheons last about two hours and include a short video about the Priests of the Sacred Heart. In addition to lunch and the video, Fr. Paul will give a presentation about Living the Spirituality of the Heart of Jesus. At times another member of the congregation will accompany Fr. Paul to these luncheons. You and your guests are invited to join Fr. Paul and other friends of the Priests of the Sacred Heart when he travels to your area.
