Priests of the Sacred Heart
The Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart is a religious community committed to continuing Christ's work of rebuilding our world into God's kingdom of justice and love.
We are pastors in urban and rural parishes. We are involved in teaching, counseling, chaplaincies, and social justice concerns. We are engaged in seminary education and religious formation. In all that we do and to all whom we serve, we strive to bring the love of the Heart of Jesus.
September Fr. Paul's Message
Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,
As Jesus moved through towns and villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick, He was "moved with pity" because the people were "like sheep without a shepherd." "The harvest is abundant," He said, "but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for His harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38)
These words of Jesus are applied to the Church today and lead us to pray for vocations to the religious life and priesthood.
God is listening and responding to our prayers. Forty new seminarians have entered our seminary here in Hales Corners! Let us continue to pray for them that, if it be God's will, they may persevere in their studies and become the holy priests our Church needs today.
