Special Mass for Recovery

Special Mass for Recovery – October 22, 2017

Send your prayer intentions here

Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,

We are people of faith. In times of sadness and tragedy, you and I stand united in the light of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

These are times when we must hold strong in faith. Can we recall a period of so many heartbreaking events in such rapid succession?

Disastrous hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria bringing damage and flooding to Texas, the Southeast and the Caribbean. Widespread wildfires in Montana and the Northwest. Massive earthquakes in Oaxaca and Mexico City. Horrific violence in Nevada. So many of our brothers and sisters suffering loss and heartache.

Yet in this time of sorrow, I am drawn to these words from Psalms 23:4:

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…

We can find strength in our savior, Jesus Christ, and comfort in His love, knowing that He is always with us. That is why the Priests of the Sacred Heart will celebrate a special Mass for Recovery on October 22, World Mission Sunday.

I invite you to join us as we call on the divine love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to shine His favor upon all those affected by the recent catastrophic events, and ask for His blessings upon the many relief workers, volunteers and others who give selflessly to their neighbors in need. We will open our hearts, united in prayer for God’s comfort as we travel the road to recovery.

Please send me your personal prayer intentions so that the Priests of the Sacred Heart may share them with our Lord in the special Mass on October 22.

May He bless all who show love for those in need with His divine grace.

Sincerely in the Sacred Heart,

Father Dominic
