St. Valentine's Day Novena

Bless the people you love in your life. Let us remember them to God.

Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,

What can be more worthy of celebration than love?  To be able to give and receive love lifts our hearts and brings us closer to the kingdom of God.

I invite you to bless all of the people who fill your life with love during our special Novena of Masses beginning on St. Valentine’s Day.  Having the Priests of the Sacred Heart remember your loved ones in our Novena of Masses is a meaningful way tell those you hold most dear to your heart how much you care.  Please send me the names of your loved ones and your intentions by February 13, 2018 so that the we may commend them to God with our loving prayers.

Love is something that our priests and brothers hold very precious – the everlasting love of God that flows from the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  In deed and in prayer, we celebrate His divine love every day.   As Priests of the Sacred Heart, we have committed ourselves to be prophets of love and servants of reconciliation.

St. John the Evangelist wrote movingly of God’s love for us and of our call to love one another.  He told us that God is love and that “we love God because God first loved us” (1 John 4:19).  A few verses later, he wrote that “whoever loves God must also love his brother” (1 John 4:21).

As we reflect on the beautiful blessing of love that God has given us, I ask that you consider sharing your love with your needy brothers and sisters who are served by the Priests of the Sacred Heart here in America and throughout the world.

We rely on your kindness to bring hope and comfort to those who struggle in poverty and despair. Your gift of $15, $25 or whatever you can afford helps us respond to individuals and families who might otherwise be neglected or abandoned.  Click here to send your special gift.

Know that you are always in my prayers.

May your every kindness be rewarded with Christ’s grace.  May His Sacred Heart enfold you in love worth celebrating every day!

Sincerely in the Sacred Heart,

Father Dominic
