Dear Friend of the Sacred Heart,
Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your Word. (Luke 1:38)
With these words, Mary, the Blessed Virgin, responded to the angel Gabriel. In her humble acceptance of God’s will, she brought Christ into the world.
At this holy time of year, I invite you to reflect on how Mary accepted God’s will, by loving Him and all our brothers and sisters. In this way, we too can bring Christ into our world.
May His love be received by those who are in our hearts this Christmas, knowing He will enrich us with His greatest gift – Himself.
Please join the Priests of the Sacred Heart as we rejoice in God’s gift of Christ during our special Christmas Novena of Masses, December 25-January 2. Let us pray for the Prince of Peace to reign in our hearts, homes, country and world as we commend our loved ones to His favor, asking for His grace to follow His path with faith and humility.
As you share your love of Christ this season, please remember our needy brothers and sisters who rely on the Priests of the Sacred Heart for aid and compassion.
Your support provides food, clean water, medicine, housing, education and the message of Christ’s eternal love in war-torn Congo, the streets of Indonesia, neglected rural hamlets in the United States and in missions throughout the world.
May your love and actions always bring Christ into our world. In our prayers we ask the Christ Child to bless you with His peace and joy during this holy season of Christmas … and always!
Sincerely in the Sacred Heart,
Father Dominic, SCJ
